Minutes Taker

The minutes taker keeps the minutes during a general assembly or meeting and is usually appointed at the start of the meeting.

Responsibilities

  1. Preparing the minutes
    1. Recording the list of attendees
    2. Noting what was discussed during the general assembly or meeting
    3. Important: Documenting votes and resolutions in writing!
    4. Printing and signing the final minutes
  2. Obtaining the signature of the chairperson
  3. Archiving
    1. Filing in the minutes folder
    2. Creating a digital version in the “Minutes” network storage folder
    3. Sending the digital version via the eLab mailing list
